I had another doctors appointment. I had to drive to Corona because my local doctors office isn't really able to handle very many patients. (Yay for Kaiser) The doctor I saw is my assigned doctor, but I really don't want to drive 35-40 min every month and more to have my prenatal visits. But I sure like this doctor a lot.
This visit entailed a wonderful physical, which afterward, my doctor said we would listen to the baby's heartbeat. She saw me get really excited, and I told her that I had been concerned because I have had a miscarriage in the past. So, the wonderful sweet lady that she was, she wheeled an ultrasound machine in the room and told me, "I want you to see that this baby is doing well, and is growing." So I got to see my little one moving and stretching. And GROWING! :) I measured 13 cm. So as I left the doctor's office, I was on cloud 9. I'll be 13 weeks in 2 days. I'm on track to having this baby!
How I've Been Feeling:
Well, I threw up a second time. It was after trying to take Tums to alleviate the heart burn. It has been more unbearable than with Jacob. I really don't remember having heartburn at all. So maybe this is a girl? I don't know. My doctor suggested Pepcid AC and that stuff is fantastic. I felt so much better after taking a dose last night. As I transition into the next trimester, I hope the heartburn will go away. And the 2 AM trips to the bathroom. haha... Other than that, I feel good most days.
I back tracked into my early pregnancy posts of Jacob, and that was a fun trip down memory lane. I didn't realize how in denial I was about being pregnant, and how I was just waiting for it to hit me. I feel a little bit the same. Not so much. Jacob loves babies, and I really want him to have a playmate. The fear of being a mother is gone, cause I been there, done that! Now its just counting down the days. And this time around, I feel like the weeks fly. They inched from 8 weeks to 12, but now it will fly. My baby is developed, and just ready to start getting bigger. Hooray!
